- Greening USA bags an EPC contract for a 60 MWac solar plant in Indiana.
- The project shall provide renewable energy to a major technology company.
- Construction is expected to begin in Q4 ’24, with completion slated for Q4 ’25.
- The Plant stretches over 452 acres, the size of 606 football fields
Greening USA announced the new development, which involved the award of an engineering, procurement, and construction contract to a 60 MWac solar plant in Indiana. The renewable energy from this facility will be supplied to a major technology company, a milestone in the expansion of greening in the North American market.
A soon-to-be-named Jasper County solar project will cover about 452 acres of land, which is roughly the space equal to 606 football fields. This is a large installation into solar energy as part of Greening’s long-term plan to grow its US footprint in the renewable energy sector—the company now says renewables account for 40% of its portfolio.

This project crowns the success of our commitment to the North American market, and our growing presence in the U.S. is a key component of our strategic plan for 2024-2026, stated Ignacio Salcedo, CEO of Greening. Renewable energy generated by this solar plant will be sold through a Renewable Energy Certificate Purchase Agreement (REPA) to support the operations of the technology company in the region.
The construction is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2024, then continue up to 2025’s last quarter. It matches the commitment of Indiana shifting into a carbon-free future since the state produces about 10% of its energy using renewable technologies. The project contributes to the growth of local economies through job creation and wealth in communities.
The facility’s owner, Zelestra, specializes in the development, marketing, building, and operation of large-scale renewable energy projects. Zelestra has a portfolio of 25 GW in carbon-free projects across 13 countries. With a passionate workforce of 953 professionals and support from EQT, one of the leading global fund managers, Zelestra is well placed to make an impact in the renewable energy landscape.
